There is sidewalk cleaning, and then there is professional sidewalk pressure washing. Look for a company that has perfected the craft of sidewalk cleaning and gives a promise to bring you a full service clean before the doors of your store even open.
First, make sure they apply an environmentally friendly chemical to the surface of the sidewalk. This works as a loosening agent, making sure all the dirt, grease, and mildew can be easily washed away. Then, make sure they shoot steaming hot water at a speed of six gallons per minute or more from a unique machine called the Whisper Wash. This machine looks similarly to a lawn mower; it has two pressure jets on the underside that spray out this high-pressure water cleaning and deep clean the surface as the wand is spinning around giving you a nice even pressure wash cleaning. Then see if they melt off 100% of chewing gum that may have withstood the pressure washing cleaning. Then, do they rinse the lower half of the building and remove rubber tracks from the curbs around the area? They should along with sweeping up leftover debris and squeegee the windows. All this and your sidewalks are thoroughly clean. Another important factor is insurance. Are they insured? The fact is they probably wont harm your cement unless it is very new but they could hurt themselves or a person walking nearby. Make sure the work is done off hours preferably at night before your store is open, this should not be a problem for the company if they are really in the business of pressure washing. Look, if you have a patio eating area or just want to have the sidewalks in front of your store cleaned look for a company that gives a free estimate, and of course all of the work is satisfaction guaranteed and are fully insured with workers comp insurance. Also ask the company how many years have they been in business. Do they have a web site where you can see some before and after photo's? Can They supply you with a bunch of testimonials and or the customers phone numbers? You can also find them on Angie's list and Merchant Circle as well as some other trade forums. Please don't forget to check out their website so you can get their contact info, check out some of the latest jobs pictures and video are available. Along with sidewalk cleaning many people will have their entire store front cleaned while we are their it is not that much more while we we are out there
